We are having a very ’egg-citing’ day in Reception! Last week we had a visitor to Early Year called Fiona who brought some eggs from her farm. It was our job to look after the eggs in their incubators until they were ready to hatch. Mrs Wakefield had a very tiring weekend baby sitting the eggs at home as she waited for them to hatch. They kept her up all night long with their cheeping and talking to each other, the eggs even began to move around as the chicks inside got ready to hatch but sadly no chicks…….. well that is right up until it was time to come to school on monday morning and then WOW!!!!!

Awwww, how cute are they?
Reception children are now having a go to enter a competition to name the chicks by writing names on a special ticket. Others are writing in speech bubbles about what they think the chicks may be saying to each other as they cheep LOUDLY! Some children have even wrote the chicks letters to welcome them to our class.
Please come and have a look for yourselves, there may even be more by then!
