On Sunday 17th June 2012 over one hundred people, including local MP Hazel Blears and the ceremonial mayor of Salford, attended and took part in the Walk In The Pink event at Buile Hill Park, Salford.

Whit Lane The Movie was created by a group of 6 local residents from the Whit Lane area of Salford. Well done to them all for creating this great movie, reminiscing about the past and looking at what the future may hold for the area.

Have you ever run a marathon, shaved the hair off your head or sat in a bath of beans for charity? What about walking on HOT COALS in your BARE FEET?

This film explores how customer services have changed over the years - from family run grocers to large corporate supermarkets a lot has changed. With interviews from City West residents. This film was made as part of NLDC funding in Salford.
