Programme Producer, The Lowry on behalf of The Quays Partnership
The Quays Partnership is a consortium of partners who are leading the way in the fields of digital media, broadcasting, education, business, sport, arts, culture and heritage.
We are seeking a programme team to deliver an arts & cultural events programme for The Quays which meets the aims and objectives of The Cultural Framework we have developed for the period 2012-2015.
Our vision is to be more than a set of separate attractions and offer people a world-class holistic visitor destination, strongly linked to its neighbourhoods and communities. We want The Quays to be a place where there is something happening 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and a place where digital experience is embedded in everything we do.
Freelance Quays Programme Producer - until March 2015, £25,000 p.a.
We require a Programme Producer to be responsible for devising, developing, curating and delivering an ambitious programme of artistic, cultural and digital work for The Quays three year arts and cultural events programme from 2012 – 2015.
You will have significant experience of commissioning, devising, curating and delivering arts projects across a range of artforms and contexts. A proven track record of working with artists to develop events and experiences in the public realm, as well as working with complex sites is essential. Previous experience of working with digital artists and new technologies and developing and producing work which supports participatory and socially-engaged practices is also required.
The post will be based at The Lowry, in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester, but work across the Quays Partnership.
