The torch relay hits Prestwich....and the rain FINALLY stops. Coincidence? You decide.....
Edge Lane Allotments Jubilee Day celebrations 2012
The Jubilee weekend was a great chance to see friends and neighbours, relax and enjoy the time off but really, if I'm honest, the highlight for me.......all the lovely CAKE!!! I do love a street party!
Had to stop and take a pic of this house in Salford, all dressed and ready for the Jubilee. Not only is there bunting and flags but if you look closely you'll see the flowers are planted in red white and blue sequence!
A little bit of history, as the torch finally arrives in the Northwest. Shame about the rain after all the lovely sunshine but the flame still seemed alight on its way past!
Well done to Community Reporter Frank who has been featured in this months Full House magazine! The article talks about his experience of having a stroke and his time with us at People's Voice Media...We're so proud!!
When you wait 44 years for your team to win the league i guess waiting an hour and a half for the bus to parade past is no sacrifice. But i couldn't help but worry about this supporter who spent 90 mins perched on a set of traffic lights.
Love this so much - a 'cut out and keep' picture to stick on the fridge door! Found it with this quote form Albert Einstein:
"Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new."
